Service Description

GCSE Physics Year 10 - 15-Week Course Outline This 15-week program is tailored for Year 10 and 11 students, introducing you to the key principles of physics. We'll start with a detailed exploration of states of matter and move on to understand internal energy, heating/cooling curves, specific heat, latent heat, pressure, and density. An assessment after every 5 weeks will help you stay on track throughout the course. The program will then cover energy stores and changes, kinetic and gravitational potential energy, elastic potential energy, and power. We'll delve into energy resources before assessing your knowledge. The final part of the program will focus on electricity. You'll explore current, potential difference, and resistance, resistors and their graphs, series and parallel circuits, and mains electricity. An assessment after week 15 will help consolidate your understanding of electricity concepts. Throughout this program, we aim to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to excel in your GCSE Physics examinations and to foster a lifelong love for the subject. We look forward to having you on this educational journey with us! Week 1: Energy Stores and Systems Week 2: Kinetic Energy, Gravitational Potential Energy and elastic potential energy Week 3 : Specific Heat Capacity Week 4: Power and efficiency Week 5: Energy Resources Week 6: Density Week 7: Assessment on Week 1-6 Content Week 8: Charge, Current and Resistance Week 9: Resistors Week 10: Series and Parallel Circuits Week 11: Mains electricity and Plugs Week 12: Change of State Week 13: Pressure Week 14: Assessment on Week 8 to 13 content Week 15: Learning gaps and Revision This 15-week program is specifically tailored for Year 11 students and will focus on key physics topics. We will begin with a study of radioactive decay and nuclear equations, exploring properties of alpha, beta, and gamma radiation, as well as half-life. Throughout this program, you can expect regular assessments every 7 weeks to monitor, track, and intervene in your progress, ensuring you are on the right path to success. Moving forward, we'll dive into forces, differentiating between scalars and vectors, Newton's laws, work done, energy transfer, forces and elasticity, and moments. These regular assessments will allow us to gauge your understanding and make necessary adjustments. Throughout this program, our goal is to ensure you have a strong grasp of these topics, are well-prepared for your physics
