TERMS and conditions
Once a tutoring position has been confirmed, you are entering into a contract between you and the tutor, as well as a separate contract with TutorFront. TutorFront acts as an agent on behalf of the tutor and will set up an introduction between the tutor and client.
Invoices and Payment
The billing process will be under the control of TutorFront, we will send you an invoice at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s tuition. The hourly fee quoted includes TutorFront’ commission. The invoice will be calculated according to the monthly timesheet filled in by your tutor (you will not be required to sign this, however, it is advisable that you keep a note of your tutor’s hours to avoid any error or confusion). The tutor will not receive his or her fee until we have received payment from you.
We request that invoices are paid promptly on presentation. We prefer payment by direct bank transfer but you may also pay by cheque. The tutor reserves his or her right to withdraw tuition if a client is late with payment.
The fees will be calculated at a rate agreed in advance between TutorFront and the client, based upon the seniority of the tutor. Payments must not be made directly to the tutor at any time.
All expenses, including travel, stationary, textbooks, past papers etc. must be agreed by the client in advance.
The parent is not permitted to make private arrangements for tuition with a tutor introduced by TutorFront. Should a parent contravene this obligation, they will be liable to account to TutorFront for all sums paid to the tutor without deduction and TutorFront shall be permitted to obtain an injunction against a parent to prevent further breaches. This commitment shall continue notwithstanding termination of this agreement.
For hourly placements, please ensure that you and your tutor are agreed on the arrangements for each lesson. If you need to cancel or change a lesson, please call the tutor directly. Tutorials that are cancelled by the client with less than 24 hours' notice are charged for in full. Please note that where a tutor is booked for a number of hours, we expect that the contract will be honoured by the client. For residential placements, please ensure that you and your tutor are agreed on the arrangements for each position. Residential placements that are cancelled by the client with less than 14 days’ notice are charged for in full. Please note that where a tutor is booked for a number of days, we expect that the contract will be honoured by the client. Tutor’s performance
Please note that we cannot guarantee the performance of a tutor. TutorFront supplies each tutor in good faith and in the belief that he or she will perform to the best of his or her abilities. However, we cannot guarantee and are not liable for the performance of the tutor. If a client has a complaint against the tutor or TutorFront, we regard it as a point of contract that we are informed within 24 hours of the occurrence that gave rise to the objection.
TutorFront does not accept any liability for any claims by the client arising out of or related to the carrying out of the tutoring by a tutor introduced by TutorFront.
